Born in Puntarenas and raised in the misty mountains of Monteverde, Dr. Derik Acuña Cruz brings a rare blend of world-class clinical training and deep Costa Rican roots to The Well. His early years—shaped by family, nature, and the rhythms of Blue Zone life—inspired a lifelong passion for healing and human connection.

After earning his medical degree from Universidad de Iberoamérica and completing hospital rotations across Costa Rica, Dr. Acuña chose to practice in Nosara, where he found alignment between his values and the community’s holistic approach to well-being. His expertise encompasses IV therapy, aesthetic medicine, anti-aging, nutrition, and Longevity.

Dr. Acuña’s approach to care is personal, integrative, and deeply present. He identifies each patient as a whole being—addressing lifestyle, mindset, and measurable health outcomes with equal care. Whether offering a rejuvenating infusion, guiding a hormone support protocol, or simply listening, he brings warmth, wisdom, and clinical precision to every session.
